A sleep mask that acts

Everything else tracks your sleep.
Lumora changes it.

A sleep mask that learns your night and wakes you at the right moment, not the same moment.

Why mornings feel like that

The whole industry measures the night. Nothing changes it.

Rings, watches, and apps are very good at telling you how badly you slept. None of them do anything about it while it is happening.

Your alarm does not care

It fires at 7:00 whether you are drifting near the surface or buried in your deepest sleep. Wake from the wrong place and the fog can follow you for hours.

Trackers only report

A ring or a watch hands you a score in the morning and leaves the rest to you. Knowing you slept badly does not change the night you already had.

Overheating and a restless mind

Heat builds against your skin and small sounds keep the mind alert. The night feels longer, lighter, and far less restorative than it should.

How it works

It reads your night.
Then it does something.

Your alarm fires at the same moment every day, no matter where you are in your sleep. Lumora is built to find a better one.

01

It listens

A sensor, not a survey.

A small sensor in the mask reads movement and temperature through the night to understand where you are in your sleep.

02

It waits

The right moment, not the same moment.

Instead of firing at a fixed time, it finds a lighter moment inside the window you set.

03

It wakes you there

You surface instead of getting yanked out.

A gradual warm sunrise builds inside the mask, so you come up out of sleep rather than getting pulled out of it.

The architecture

A simple mask. A smart pod.

The mask stays simple on purpose, so the part that has to survive a washing machine is the part with nothing in it.

The mask stays simple

Washable fabric, a passive cooling insert, and a pocket. Nothing precious, nothing you have to baby.

The pod holds the intelligence

All of the sensing lives in a small removable pod. Take it out before you wash the mask, and upgrade it later without replacing anything else.

It listens

It waits

No fixed alarm time. It looks for a lighter moment inside the window you set.

Sunrise wake

A gradual warm light builds inside the mask, so you surface instead of being yanked out.

Removable pod

The intelligence lifts out. The mask goes in the wash, and the pod upgrades later.

The product

One mask.
Nothing to choose between.

No tiers, no upsell, no version of this where the useful part costs extra. The intelligence is the product.

Signals we could not ignore

Sleep is not a niche issue. It is a daily performance problem.

Before refining the product, we talked to people directly. Students, athletes, and professionals. The message was consistent.

83%
reported sleep difficulty

Across our interviews, the clear majority described sleep as a real and recurring problem.

6 / 10
average sleep score

People were not describing ideal rest. They were describing acceptable but frustrating nights.

Who is building this

Built by hand.
In the open.

Lumora is a working prototype becoming a product, designed and built by one person. The sensing, the firmware, the mask, and this site. If something is not ready yet, you will hear that here first.

Lumora is a sleep mask that acts on your sleep instead of just reporting on it. A small sensor pod inside the mask reads movement and temperature through the night, and at launch it will use that to wake you at a lighter moment inside the window you choose, with a gradual warm sunrise built into the mask.
